King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla were allegedly against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding from the get-go.

According to Radar Online, the royal couple urged Prince Harry not to push through with his royal wedding in 2018, but he didn’t listen.

“Charles and Camilla demanded Harry give her up — and Her Majesty warned she would shun any wedding. But Harry defied them all. He even tipped off the press an engagement was imminent. The palace had no choice but to go through with the announcement,” the source said.

Back in 2017, rumors also swirled that the royal family was going through so much right before Prince Harry and Markle exchanged their "I do’s." So, everyone knew that tying the knot wasn’t the best thing to do but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex insisted that it was time.

Prince William was also adamant in convincing Prince Harry to postpone his engagement to Markle because the Sussexes only knew each other for over a year when a proposal took place.

And over the years, the royal family’s perception of Prince Harry and Markle’s marriage never really changed. In fact, Queen Consort Camilla allegedly made it clear that she couldn’t stand Markle. And even Kate Middleton echoed her sentiments.

Meanwhile, the source also claimed that the royal family was at odds with each other right before Markle walked down the aisle.

“Their public smiles mask private lies, betrayals, and personal plots. Her Majesty knows her time is short, and her last wish was to celebrate the holiday at her country estate at Sandringham, surrounded by her closest family. But ferocious feuds and vendettas made it difficult,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that the royal family was at war before Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot. And it’s even more untrue that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla tried to stop the Duke of Sussex from marrying the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry and Markle already shared their version of the truth in Harry & Meghan. And if anyone from the royal family stopped them from marrying each other, they would’ve already shared this important detail in the documentary, but they didn’t.
