Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk’s rekindled romance is allegedly all just for show.

A source told Globe that Cooper and Shayk are just faking it until they make it for the sake of their daughter, Lea.

“They’re doing this all to make their daughter happy during the holidays, but it’s a short-term fix to a long-term problem,” the source said.

The source said that Cooper and Shayk are also allegedly on different pages in their lives. So, even if they are happy right now, it’s only a matter of time before things change.

Cooper allegedly needs someone who can keep him involved in the showbiz circle, which Shayk cannot do because they do not belong to the same industry.

“Bradley needs to move forward in his life, not back. A lot of folks close to him think he’d be much better off finding his own Amal Clooney instead of going back to Irina and trying to glue their little family back together. Bradley is friends with moguls and politicians and he’s not going to be happy until he’s with somebody who can play on that level and keep up with him and his crazily ambitious life. Irina is not that person, no matter how good a mother she is,” the source said.

And even though Cooper and Shayk will spend the holidays together with their daughter, it’s unlikely for the couple to maintain their happy relationship long-term because they need a different partner.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It wouldn’t make sense for Cooper and Shayk to fake their relationship just for the sake of their daughter.

When they split years ago, the A-listers maintained an amicable relationship with each other while co-parenting Lea. So, if this is the only thing that they want from each other, there’s no reason for them to keep hanging out.

But the fact that they have been inseparable proves that they are committed to making their relationship work this time around. Of course, the person who will benefit the most from Cooper and Shayk getting back together is their daughter.

It is not also true that Cooper wouldn’t be happy with Shayk long-term. After all, the Silver Linings Playbook actor is the only one who knows what and who he needs.
