Prince Harry may have made a big mistake by teaming up with Netflix for his and Meghan Markle’s docuseries.

While speaking with Closer UK, former royal butler Paul Burrell said that the damage has already been done. And there’s no turning back for the Duke of Sussex.

Now, he needs to deal with the fact that the same company that will release his docuseries was also the one behind the controversial show, The Crown.

The upcoming season of The Crown will focus heavily on Princess Diana’s marriage, her 1995 interview with Martin Bashir, her relationship with Dodi Al-Fayed, and even her death in Paris.

“Harry made a deal with the devil. He got into bed with Netflix and took their money. If he was principled, this would never have happened. He’s going to be in a very difficult position working for a company that is portraying his mother and father in such a negative way. Surely he has principles? Or has he sold them as well?” he said.

Burrell also claimed that Prince Harry could no longer fix the damage that has already been done. In fact, the entire royal family is also aware that he merchandised himself to such an extreme that he could no longer get out of his deals.

Princess Diana’s former royal butler couldn’t help but wonder if Prince Harry wasn’t advised against having a deal with Netflix. Or it is possible that he ignored what other people had to say because he really wanted to get the docuseries done.

“Harry is in a very difficult position but he knew the rules of the game,” he said.

Burrell also expressed his concerns over the portrayals of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla in The Crown. After all, the royal couple just took on their new roles after the queen’s death, and already their reputations could be tarnished.

To add to this, there are also concerns about Prince Harry potentially betraying the royal family not only with his docuseries but also in his memoir.

As of late, no one knows for sure what Prince Harry and Markle’s docuseries will feature. And no one also knows the stories that the Duke of Sussex included in his memoir.

So, everything that Burrell said is just based on his observations and speculations.
