The podcasting deal between Kim Kardashian and Spotify has begun to materialize.

People reported that the series, which carries the title “Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case of Kevin Keith,” dropped its first two episodes, alongside its official trailer, on Monday.

The platform is also said to have announced earlier that day that the 41-year-old reality star is taking on the space to narrate the original materials.

The magazine noted that the eight-episode series follows the real-life story of Kevin Keith, who was arrested following a triple homicide charge in 1994. It is stated, as well, to shine a light on his attempts to prove his innocence after his conviction.

People quoted the description of the series in its report, published later on Monday.

It reads, “There is no physical evidence exclusively tying [Kevin] to the crime, yet he has spent 28 years of his life behind bars, with many of those on death row. Kevin’s brother Charles has always been convinced of his innocence, and to this day, works relentlessly to clear Kevin’s name.”

The description of the material is also said to reveal that Kim Kardashian, alongside her team, “will take a deep dive into the case, raise important questions, and try to shed light on a legal system that can often be deliberately puzzling.”

The magazine shared elsewhere in its report that the SKIMS founder gave a few words about the series in the official trailer, as well. She is stated to have pointed out “there’s so much to explore” in the matter, adding that it is her “goal to take you with me on this path.”

Following the launch of the podcast on Spotify, OK! magazine shared that fans of Kim Kardashian are “excited” about the series. In its report covering the matter, it included some netizens’ thoughts on the material.

The outlet stated that some individuals find the reality star’s podcast “pretty good” and “pretty interesting.”

Others are said to have listened to the newly released episodes of the series already, with one netizen reportedly describing them as “surprisingly actually good.”

CNN Business said Kim Kardashian closed the exclusive podcasting deal with Spotify in June 2020. It reported, at the time, that the material would cover themes of criminal justice reform and wrongful conviction.

The publication also noted it received confirmation about the deal from a Spotify spokesperson. However, it revealed that the rep declined to disclose details about the podcast, including the launch date.

Elsewhere in its report, published June 17, 2020, CNN Business stated that the Wall Street Journal was the first to report about the matter.
