Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked many people after announcing their plan to relocate to the United States. But, some individuals reportedly suggested that the move was “predestined.”

It comes after a royal expert claimed that the relocation to the U.S. is “no coincidence,” according to Express UK. As reported, the assertions were from Christopher Anderson, who authored “The Day Diana Died,” noting that the late royal intended to do the same more than two decades ago.

The royal biographer reportedly talked to host Kinsey Schofield in a recent episode of the “To Di For Daily” podcast. The exchange is said to have centered on the Princess of Wales’ legacy, marking the 25th anniversary of her death.

During the discussion, the host reportedly noted that Prince Harry’s actions “sometimes” feel like they “lean more towards the Spencer blood.”

The publication consequently quoted Anderson’s response, saying, “It’s no coincidence that he ended up in Montecito.”

The royal expert reportedly claimed that Dodi Fayed “had already purchased Julie Andrews’ old mansion in Malibu.” He is stated to have asserted that it came after Princess Diana allegedly “intended to live in California,” adding that “she would have understood [the Duke of Sussex’s] need to get away and do that.”

Elsewhere in the exchange, however, Anderson is reported to have argued that the Princess of Wales would not likely have wanted her youngest son to “exit the [British] Royal Family.”

The royal expert’s assertions seemingly echoed former bodyguard Lee Sansum’s claims, which he wrote in his upcoming book, “Protective Diana: A Bodyguard’s Story.”

Newsweek, in covering the narrative, noted in its report that Sansum was employed by Mohamed Al-Fayed, the father of Dodi Fayed. As added, he reportedly looked after the Princess of Wales during one of her final trips to the South of France.

The former bodyguard recounted a conversation he was said to have had with the late royal in his book, wherein he claims Prince Harry’s mother expressed her desire to relocate to the United States.

The publication quoted Samsum’s piece, centering on Princess Diana’s alleged statements to him, writing, “‘There is nothing I can do in the [United Kingdom]. The papers there attack me no matter what I do.’”

It continues, “‘I want to go to the U.S. and live there so I can get away from it all. At least in America they like me and will leave me alone.’”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry relocated to the United States earlier in 2020. It came after he and Meghan Markle announced their plan to “step back” as senior members of the British Royal Family and desire to become “financially independent.”
