Meghan Markle is allegedly keen to enter the political force after receiving a relatively lukewarm response in Hollywood.

In its Aug. 5 issue, Globe claimed that Markle had high hopes when she decided to quit The Firm. Since she used to work as an actress, she was convinced that when she returns to Hollywood, she would receive offers left and right. Unfortunately, this isn’t what happened.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry received offers from Netflix and Spotify. But they have not released any new projects for the streaming platforms. What’s worse is that one of Markle’s projects for Netflix was canceled even before they started filming.

As such, a source claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is looking at other options that she might have to restart her game in the United States. And she’s set on running for congress or for president in the 2024 elections.

“Meghan and Harry are alarmed by the volatility with Netflix and less keen to enter the Hollywood grind, so they’re having to look ahead. Meghan is convinced she can go all the way and be president and that would be the ultimate [expletive] to the haters everywhere – including Harry’s brother, William, and his wife, Kate, of course,” the source said.

However, the source also claimed that Markle already doesn’t have the support of two of the most important people in the political sphere: Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

Michelle and Barack don’t hate Meghan or trash talk her per se. They just think she’s way too ahead of herself and in need of a reality check. You can’t just walk into the White House without the appropriate resume plus decades of experience. Meghan’s apparent assumption she can do just that reeks of arrogance and delusion as far as the Obamas are concerned. They’ve seen her type come and go before and have no interest backing this losing horse,” the source said.

As of late, it’s unclear why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are being pitted against the Obamas especially since they are not feuding with each other.

It’s not true that Markle is running for president or joining Congress anytime soon. If she is, then she would’ve already expressed her desire to join politics. However, this hasn’t happened yet.
