Experts and commentators reportedly believe that the British Royals are gearing up and “bracing” themselves for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming Netflix title. This comes as the former working royals are said to be delivering “stuff that gets headlines.”

Express UK reported that the latest assertions about the matter emerged from a recent episode of the “Royally Us” podcast. As explained, hosts Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi, alongside Nick Bullen, discussed how the documentary series may impact the British Royal Family.

One of the hosts asked the True Royally TV co-founder whether the royals will “take issue” over the Sussexes’ upcoming title for Netflix. He responded that the family will likely have “major concerns,” especially on the content.

Bullen continued that “history has proven” time again that when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle speak before the public, they “say things that… [have] impact around the world.” He then referenced the Oprah interview that the pair did in 2021 and stated that it was “explosive.”

Accordingly, the expert believes that there are “concerns” on the part of the British Royals. This is said to be much truer in the sense that Netflix is paying the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “a lot of money” for their content, and they would have to “deliver stuff that gets headlines.”

He also, later on, suggested that there is a lot of “nervousness” not only toward the documentary series, but the royal-born Prince’s upcoming memoir, as well.

Page Six revealed last week that there will be an “at-home with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex-style” docuseries as Netflix gets its “pound of flesh” from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

It was also claimed that the heads over at the streaming giant would like the material to drop “by the end of the year to tie in” the youngest Wales prince’s tell-all memoir. However, the Sussex’s camp would reportedly rather air the title next year.

No official word has been heard yet from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Likewise, the British Royals have not said anything about it, as was the case with the former working royals’ other deals.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have since received criticisms and mockeries among experts and the public.

One commentator even stated that the pair’s “foray into reality TV territory” may bring attention to the causes they “care deeply about,” but “it could have a ‘more insidious consequence’” in terms of their goals and motivations, according to Express UK.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reunite the British Royals in June. The pair, alongside their two children, will return to the United Kingdom for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
