Prince Harry will reportedly likely return to his home country without Meghan Markle.

The expectation comes from a royal correspondent who recently spoke with “Royal Round-Up,” according to Express UK. As stated, there is a need for the royal-born Prince to “stay onboard” with Queen Elizabeth II.

Richard Palmer told host Pandor Forsyth that he believes the Duke of Sussex will fly back to the United Kingdom. Although he did not explain why he expects the royal to return without the Duchess of Sussex, he asserted that the potential trip is necessary to maintain the ties between the monarch and her grandson.

The expert, also, shared that the youngest Wales prince “has been very clear in trying to distinguish” the criticisms he and his wife have made between the institution and the Queen. He has come to the conclusion that the former working royals have “avoided criticizing” the head of the British Monarchy.

Pauline Maclaran, who is a Professor at Royal Holloway, had similar assertions about Prince Harry and his ties to the British Royal Family. But, in her statements, the dynamic includes Meghan Markle, as well.

A separate report from Express UK shared what the expert recently said about the matter. She pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “need to really top up their associations with royalty.”

Maclaran explained that the former working royals’ brand relies on their connections to the British Royals. She emphasized that, without their links to the royals, “they really are nobodies” in the United States, “where they are trying to establish themselves.”

The expert continued that the pair’s “high profile” statuses come from their respective titles and associations with British royalty. Accordingly, “the longer they stay away, they lose that royal magic."

Maclaran’s statements came after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remained in the United States during the Service of Thanksgiving for the late Duke of Edinburgh. The former is the only “major” member of the British Royal Family who did not attend the special memorial event.

Earlier in March, the royal-born Prince’s spokesperson confirmed that he would not return to the United Kingdom later that month, leading to his absence from the service. Although the official statement did not specify the reason behind the decision, it noted that the Duke of Sussex will visit Queen Elizabeth II “as soon as possible.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have since received waves of criticism and backlash from royal experts and the public.
