Miley Cyrus recalled her marriage to former husband Liam Hemsworth during a recent performance. She described it as a “f***ing disaster” before her audience at Lollapalooza Brazil on Saturday.

Page Six said that the report first emerged in the Daily Mail. As noted, the songstress made the assertion when she brought a couple on stage for their proposal.

Cyrus congratulated the couple and shared her wish for them. She said she hopes their “marriage goes better” than hers before quipping, “mine was a f***ing disaster.”

It was not the first time the "Wrecking Ball" singer shared some of her thoughts about her short-lived marriage to Hemsworth. Reports said that she had previously admitted to experiencing "too much conflict" in her tie, adding that she does not "get off on drama or fighting."

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth decided to split in August 2019, about eight months after tying the knot. A rep for the artist made an official statement to People confirming the separation.

As announced at the time, the two celebrities “have agreed to separate” after deciding that it is “what is best while they both focus on themselves and careers.” Despite this, though, “they still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart.”

The same statement, which deems the then-pair “ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals,” also, urged the public to “respect their process and privacy.”

The publication, later on, reported that the split rumors first surfaced over that weekend. It was after netizens saw Miley Cyrus without her wedding ring in a photo of herself she posted on Instagram.

On the same day, Entertainment Tonight shared photos of the “Slide Away” singer sharing a kiss with Kaitlynn Carter while on a trip to Lake Como, Italy. As reported, witnesses spotted the two celebrities “cuddling, kissing, and swimming,” alongside Brandi Cyrus.

The outlet, also, noted that it was a week after Carter and Brody Jenner announced their “amicable separation.”

Two weeks after the pictures emerged on various media outlets, Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the decision, according to Insider.

In January 2020, a Los Angeles judge finalized their divorce. They have since been seen with other people, as well.

The former couple were in an on-and-off relationship starting in 2009. They were first engaged in mid-2012, although called it off in late 2013.

In 2016, Cyrus revealed that the engagement was back on during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres for “The Ellen Show.” They finally tied the knot in a low-key private ceremony in December 2018.
