J Balvin opened up about his mental health with his fans on social media. The 35-year-old Colombian singer has been outspoken and active on Instagram, where he shares his daily life updates regularly. However, the singer didn't post or went live on Instagram, which he explained in his recent post.
While the singer maintained a distance from social media for a couple of weeks, he revealed the reason for being absent in his first post after a long time. The Bum Bum Tam Tam star said that he is just like any other person, who have challenges, and this time it is some depression and anxiety.
Balvin said everything in the Spanish language with an emotional tone. He further disclosed that he is not fond of faking or acting, being happy all the time or pretending that things are perfect. While he noted being a human being, he also mentioned being vulnerable and fragile.
The singer said that it is possible to be more impuissant for him compared to regular people. However, he appreciated his fans for being in touch with him throughout the journey. He believes that this storm in his life will pass soon and he will be sharing puns like before on his social media.
He admitted that he has no intention of being faking his feelings; rather, he did like to stay "real" in front of his fans while using social media. He ended the video by saying, "I love you all," showing a peace sign and said his real name, Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin.
The singer has been actively posting about his Fortnite's collaboration but has maintained a distance from social media when it comes to personal life. A couple of days ago, Balvin shared a bunch of pictures with his dog, Enzo.
The Prince of Reggaeton could be seen enjoying his time in Santa Monica, California, and captioned the post by addressing loyalty. The singer wrote that Enzo is his loyal friend and he is loyal towards his dog too, in Spanish. Balvin had given worldwide hits like Mi Gente that featured Beyonce in 2018. However, the singer has always been openly discussing mental health in the past.
Last year, the singer said that depression and anxiety are real and considers it his duty to discuss this issue while also letting others to accept that he is a person with issues like anyone else. After he opened up, other celebrities such as Camila Cabello also revealed their mental health issues.
