Armie Hammer is allegedly freaking out while in rehab after realizing that he could get a custodial prison sentence after he checks out.

In its July 5 issue, National Enquirer claimed that it’s slowly dawning on Hammer how that there’s so much evidence out there that could send him to jail. And he couldn’t help but panic at the thought of what could come back out there to haunt him.

“He’s well aware a lot of his victims want him locked up for what he did and destroying his career is not enough punishment. He’s hoping and praying they’ll either take mercy or not have enough to hang him with, but he knows, in reality, he’ll be lucky to avoid jail,” the source said.

Earlier this month, Hammer’s former female friend accused him of rape. The actor has since denied the allegations. But he eventually checked into rehab to battle his addictions.

“Armie had initially hoped that by admitting he needs help and wants treatment would get him off the hook. But now that just seems delusional. The thought of a trial and then spending time in prison fills him with dread. He feels he’s finished as an actor. His family is very wealthy, and they’ve got his back,” the source said.

After the scandal erupted, Hammer decided to quit his two projects. He was supposed to star in a movie alongside Jennifer Lopez. And WME also dropped Hammer out of “The Offer.”

Hammer’s wife also filed for divorce from him after allegedly reading that actor’s raunchy texts to another woman.

But even though they are no longer together, the actor continues to lean on his ex-wife and kids for emotional support.

In fact, Hammer was just with his ex-wife and two children before he checked himself into a rehab facility earlier this month.

The actor and his family departed the Caymans to check into an in-patient facility for drug, alcohol, and sex issues.

An onlooker said that his ex-wife and two kids were the ones who dropped him off. And they also walked as far in as possible.

According to Vanity Fair, Hammer first reached out to his ex-wife in late May when he asked for support after telling Elizabeth that he was ready to seek treatment.

A close friend of the actor said that even though Hammer grew up to be very privileged, this doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have problems. But the important thing is, he's getting the help that he needs.
