Princess Anne is allegedly planning an interview to clear her name after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accused her of being racist.

In its April 19 issue, Woman's Day claimed that Princess Anne felt that it was a slap on the face when Markle suggested that the royal family had concerns over the color of Archie’s skin.

A source said that Princess Royal is not the type to address such issues publicly, but this is an exception. After all, she feels that it’s unfair that the Sussexes are dragging her name in the mud.

“Princess Royal rarely gives personal interviews, but she’s considering making an exception to clear up any confusion. She does not think of herself as racist in the slightest and is disgusted her valid concerns have apparently been weaponized by the Sussexes and turned into this ugly business,” the source said.

According to the insider, Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall is also fuming mad at Markle. The two women have never been the best of friends, but their relationship just turned sourer.

In fact, Tindall and her husband have vowed to never invite Prince Harry and Markle to their Christmas dinners. And they don’t also have any plans to introduce Archie to his second cousins.

Last month, Lady Colin Campbell explained what Princess Anne really meant when she voiced her concerns about Markle.

The royal author said that Princess Royal was concerned about Prince Harry and Markle’s marriage, as well as Markle's inability to accept and appreciate cultural differences.

Princess Anne reportedly voiced out these concerns, but she never questioned Markle’s skin color or that of her son and future children.

However, it is important to note that Markle never mentioned Princess Anne’s name during the interview. In fact, when Winfrey asked which member of the royal family had concerns about the color of her skin, she and Prince Harry refused to name names.

Campbell is the only person who namedropped Princess Anne. But it’s unclear if she’s correct.

One should also take the tabloid’s claims with caution. After all, there’s no proof that Princess Anne is planning an interview to clear her name. And she doesn’t need to. Princess Anne remains to be one of the most respected members of the royal family.

It is also not true that Tindall and Markle are at odds with each other. But it’s true that they are not close.
