Kim Kardashian has, allegedly, hired the services of a famed divorce lawyer to help her with her split from Kanye West.
In its Jan. 18 issue, New Idea claimed that Kardashian is seeking the help of lawyer Laura Wasser.
The American attorney specializes in divorce and is the founder of the divorce service, It’s Over Easy. Wasser will also be the one to represent Kardashian in court.
After a tumultuous six-year marriage, reports revealed last week that Kardashian and West failed to fix their issues. And they have both agreed that divorcing is what they need to do.
However, things are expected to get messy between the two because they both want sole custody of their four children.
“Kanye has some very biblical viewpoints on fatherhood and will be determined to retain sole custody, especially of his eldest son, who he sees as his Second Coming,” the source said.
However, Kardashian won’t also back down. And the Keeping Up With the Kardashians wants to use West’s bipolar disorder to convince the court that he’s not fit to be the main carer of their children.
According to the source, Kardashian is devastated that her marriage would end in divorce especially since her children are still very young.
However, the reality TV star can’t also deny the fact that she and West are on different paths right now.
According to reports, the couple’s issues started after West lambasted Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and their entire family via his Twitter account last summer.
The rapper accused Jenner or trying to hold him against his will. And he also criticized the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Shortly after, West moved to Wyoming to be away from his wife and kids. But Kardashian visited him there a few days later.
The couple was photographed talking in their car, and the reality TV star is crying hysterically.
Kardashian also released a statement asking their fans for understanding and sympathy towards West, who’s suffering from bipolar disorder.
After reports broke that Kardashian and West are on the brink of a divorce last week, there were also claims that the rapper cheated on his wife with YouTube sensation, Jeffree Star.
According to Daily Mail, Star and Kardashian were close friends who supported each other before the rumors linked the makeup mogul with West.
The YouTube sensation recently denied the affair claims in a new video that he posted online.
