Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff at the DHS (Department of Homeland Security), has revealed himself to be Anonymous. This alludes to a mysterious Donald Trump official who claimed to be working within the administration in a bid to obstruct the president's impulses for the good of the United States.

Taylor, who served at the DHS, took to his Twitter account on Oct. 29, claiming Trump is a man without character. He attributed the president's characterlessness for his decision to write "A Warning," and why he and his colleagues have opposed him for months. In the tweet, Taylor urged everyone to step out of the shadow and shared a link to a statement, explaining why he is no longer "Anonymous."

He went on to say that Americans do not owe Trump their silence, but they owe him, as well as the people, the truth. Taylor said he saw how incapable Trump is to do his job as the POTUS over the course of two-and-a-half-years, adding that everyone witnessed it but remained mum to avoid reprisals.

Taylor said he was still a Republican and became a part of the administration to ensure Trump succeeds. Much to his chagrin, he found that the president was unfit to be the commander in chief. Trump's personal defects have led to leadership failures so big that they can be quantified in lost lives across the nation.

Multiple former top administration officials have criticized the president's approach to the job, and Taylor mentioned this in his statement as he encouraged Americans to speak out against the president and vote him out of office. As successors of revolutionaries, he wrote that an honest protest is part of the American character, urging the people to stand up against the culture of political intimidation that Trump has cultivated.

He explained that he is writing the note to urge American people to speak out against Trump if they already haven't, and though he hopes some more Trump officials will come forward, Taylor said people's words are more important than theirs. He said people could speak louder than the officials with their votes and encourage others with their voices.

In the DHS from 2017 to 2019, Taylor endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Aug. He had previously denied he was the author of the 2018 op-ed article. Moreover, he spearheads an anti-Trump group called the Republican Political Alliance for Integrity and Reform.
