Dai’s power will awaken in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 5. The new episode is called The Insignia of Avan.

The official Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 5 preview trailer has been released. The trailer shows Evan, Dai and the others. 

“The resurrected Hadlar’s power was overwhelming. Even Avan, who had once defeated him, is forced into a corner. When Evan shows his willingness to die to protect Dai and for peace, once again, Dai’s power awakens! Next time on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Day, The Insignia of Avan,” reads the preview text from the upcoming episode. 

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 4 Recap

Avan and Dai continue their battle. Avan has turned into a dragon and he challenges to beat him. Dai launches an attack but is unable to make any impact.

Avan notes that a Dragon’s skin is harder than steel. Dai declares that he will use the Avan Style Sword Technique called Earth Slash after the dragon. 

However, Dai cannot stand against the mighty dragon. Dai says to himself that Earth Slash is a strength-based attack and he cannot tackle dragon flames using it.

The episode shows Avan teaching Dai the three skills of the Avan Style Sword Technique. Avan tells Dai that he learned the Earth Slash, which is the ability to slash the earth. 

Now, it is time to learn Wave Slash Speed. It is important to note that in this attack, speed and agility are crucial.  

Dai remembers the lesson and learns that the dragon flames can be tackled using Wave Slash Speed. Avan is happy that Dai has caught on but asks Dai if it will work. 

Avan fires the flame and Dai successfully slices it. Avan returns to his normal form as his Puff form is extremely dangerous against someone like Dai. 

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 5 is slated to hit the airwaves on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020

The cast members of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai are Atsumi Tanezaki as Dai, Mikako Komatsu as Maam, Ai Furihata as Gome, Saori Hayami as Leona, Takaya Hashi as Vearn, Tomoaki Maeno as Crocodile, Takehito Koyasu as Myst-Vearn, Tomokazu Seki as Hadlar, Yuuki Kaji as Hyunckel and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Popp.
