Cheryl is, allegedly, worried that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could jeopardize her career.
According to Closer, Simon Cowell is keen on working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. And the producer is just recovering from a recent accident but he’s already setting up meetings with Prince Harry and Markle.
Last week, claims were suggesting that Cowell is thinking of ways on how he could tap the couple to appear in America’s Got Talent. And once Cowell forges a professional relationship with the Sussexes, they won’t just team up on one project.
As such, Cheryl is, allegedly, worried that Cowell will become much closer to the Sussexes than her. And if this happens, Cowell might give Prince Harry and Markle more work opportunities.
A source told the tabloid that Cheryl reached out to Cowell after learning about his accident. And she told him not to worry about anything. Cheryl also offered Cowell help if he needs someone to take over his shows.
The singer was, allegedly, shocked when she found out that Prince Harry and Markle were already talking to Cowell about future projects.
“While it doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll drop his plans to collaborate with her, Cheryl knows how business-savvy Simon is and how big a deal it would be for him to work with the Sussexes. She’s worried this could overshadow anything pitched for her and suspects that he could end up throwing himself into things with Meghan,” the source said.
Cheryl is also, allegedly, concerned that Markle and Prince Harry’s partnership with Cowell could threaten her plans with him.
The insider also said that the singer feels that she’s in limbo at the moment. And she doesn’t know what she should do next, both professionally and personally. And since she’s a hardworking perfectionist, this is making her feel worried and uncomfortable.
Cheryl is also, allegedly, a tad bit too sensitive about being let down by Cowell because of their close relationship on and offset. In fact, there were also rumors that Cowell developed feelings for Cheryl, but the singer was unable to reciprocate them because she only saw him as a friend.
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. There is still no confirmation that Cowell will be working with Prince Harry and Markle. As such, Cheryl has nothing to worry about.
