Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reportedly, organized a Zoom call on the former’s birthday last week.
According to The Sun, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles organized the Zoom call. And they also invited the other members of the royal family to join. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t attend.
“William sent his birthday best wishes. There was some excuse made about why he wasn’t there,” a source told People.
Other than the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s absence, the source said that the Zoom call was pleasant. Prince Harry, reportedly, told his family that he misses them.
“Meghan baked a cake and Harry blew out candles. Archie made them laugh when he also blew them out. It was a bit awkward that William and Kate weren’t there,” the source said.
Last week, reports also swirled that Prince Harry was deeply hurt with how Prince William and Middleton snubbed his wife in their birthday greetings for him.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge uploaded a photo of the two of them with Prince Harry in their birthday greeting, which they posted on Instagram. However, visibly absent from the photo is Markle.
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said that it’s obvious that the Cambridges cut Markle out.
“They all hate each other. Let’s be perfectly honest,” he said.
Good Morning Britain co-host, Susanna Reid said that she doesn’t think this is the case. After all, Prince Harry wasn’t also included in Prince William and Middleton’s birthday greeting for Markle in August.
“No, I think it was because the people who were tweeting were just tweeting their memories of being with Prince Harry in happy times,” she said.
According to Daily Express, Prince Harry celebrated his birthday in a low-key manner. Unlike in the previous years, the Duke of Sussex didn’t have a party, and he didn’t also have friends over.
Rather, he celebrated his special day with his wife and son. And they, reportedly, had a simple meal together as a family.
According to royal commentator Ingrid Seward, Prince Harry is finally embracing his new life in the United States.
“He’s embracing his new life and everything is an adventure right now. He has moved on very quickly and I don’t think he misses his old life at all,” she said.
However, some tabloids are convinced that this isn’t the case. They have been claiming that Prince Harry is struggling in the United States.
