Lili Reinhart does not know where she would have ended up if it were not for “Riverdale.” It comes after she revealed the show’s initial rejection of her for the role of Betty.

Speaking to E! News, the 25-year-old actress shared that she “was told no” when she first auditioned for The CW series. She noted that “it is weird,” adding that she “did not get the role” as “they said no” to her.

Reinhart consequently stated that the first audition was a “self-tape.” So, when she learned that the production still had not cast the role of Betty upon her relocation to Los Angeles, she went in “in-person” to try again.

The “Hustlers” actress continued that she “made it past” the three rounds of audition and did the test before she got the role.

In February 2016, the first official casting announcement was made and named Lili Reinhart as the actress to play the role of Betty. The pilot premiered nearly a year later on The CW.

Later in the exchange with the outlet, the “Surviving Jack” actress admitted to not knowing the life where she would have ended up if it were not for “Riverdale.”

The publication quoted Reinhart, saying, “There was a very big chance and a moment where I did not have that role and if I hadn’t, I don’t know where I would have ended up.”

It continues, “I think I still would have moved to L.A., but I don’t think I’d be sitting here.”

Lili Reinhart has played the role of Betty in “Riverdale” for the last six years. With the series nearing end, she recently talked about her “feelings” going into the last season of the show.

Speaking to Variety, the “Chemical Hearts” star stated that “there are a lot of feelings,” although “bittersweet is the word.” She explained that this is because she “will miss this group of people,” with whom she has spent half of her 20s.

The celebrity continued that she and her cast members will “never all be together again working on the same thing.” So, in recognizing that part, “we all are sad about that,” adding that “it will be a very sad day when it actually wraps.”

Lili Reinhart countered, though, that “Riverdale” has done so much for her and the rest of them. She said they are now “ready to show the world what else [they] have got.”
