Jimmy Kimmel Makes Shocking Claims About Donald Trump’s Son Eric And Why He Didn’t Ask Ex-POTUS To Stop The Capitol Riot
Jimmy Kimmel is a known critic of Donald Trump and his entire family. So, after it was revealed that the ex-POTUS’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. knew about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, he made sure to mock their family.
During a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel shared his thoughts on why he thinks Donny was the only one that texted Mark Meadows regarding the insurrection.
He said that Eric didn’t bother sending his dad’s former chief of staff a text message because he was busy doing something else.
“[He was] stuck in a claw machine at a Dave and Buster’s in Silver Spring,” Kimmel joked.
The host went on to sarcastically commend Donny.
“I never thought I’d say this. Donald Trump Jr. was right. The president did nothing for hours and as a result, people died. Of course, Don Jr. spent the last 11 months praising his father’s lack of action,” he said via the Huffington Post.
Donny’s knowledge about the siege first came to light earlier this week after Liz Cheney read out some of the text messages that Meadows surrendered as part of the ongoing investigation.
Since the insurrection took place, Trump and his allies have been denying their involvement in the protests. However, the riot took place right after Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally, where he encouraged his Republican supporters to go to the US Capitol so that their voices could be heard.
During the “Stop the Steal” rally, Trump also repeatedly claimed that there was an election fraud that took place because he was convinced that he won over Joe Biden. But a handful of recounts later proved that his claims were unfounded.
In fact, even former Vice President Mike Pence couldn’t follow through with Trump’s desire for him to not authorize the electoral votes because he was aware that there was no fraud.
After Trump lost to Biden, Kimmel once again slammed the ex-POTUS on his show.
“He’s just jealous because Biden has a dog and all he has is Mike Pence. Can you imagine Trump having a dog? I can’t picture him feeding anyone but himself. The closest Trump gets to that is when he feeds Giuliani a bucket of frozen mice,” Kimmel said via The Guardian.
Following the Capitol riot, Kimmel said that the insurrection happened because Trump is too angry, too insecure, and too incompetent, according to Deadline.
