Terri Irwin and Bindi Irwin could allegedly be forced to make an important decision regarding the Australia Zoo.

In its Nov. 22 issue, New Idea claimed that the zoo is struggling financially because not enough money is coming in to feed and tend to the animals.

As such, the Irwins might have to seriously consider selling the entire zoo, which would a tough call because it is part of Steve Irwin’s legacy.

“Nobody wants to see Steve or Bob’s legacy fall over, but every business in Australia has been impacted in some way by COVID-19. The changes have been heartbreaking. Here’s hoping there is some light at the end of the tunnel,” the source said.

Staff from the Australia Zoo that didn’t want to be named said that income for the zoo is on a downward spiral. And even Terri herself admitted that they still had to pay huge chunks of money to feed the animals even when they were heavily affected by the pandemic.

The mom of two also said that they had to cover their staff’s wages at approximately $400,000 weekly and an additional $78,914 weekly for the animals’ foods.

“We knew costs were huge, food alone for the animals comes in at around $80,000 a week. But we’re scratching our heads – why cut the A-team? Their experience is invaluable. It’s all been a hard pill to swallow,” the source said.

As of late, there is still no word about the Irwins possibly selling Australia Zoo. And it seems unlikely for this to happen. After all, the zoo is part of Steve’s legacy.

While it may be true that the Irwins are spending so much more than what they are earning, taking care of the animals at the zoo has been a lifetime commitment for their family.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the rumor surrounding the Irwins. In July, Woman’s Day claimed that Bindi is thinking about relocating to Oregon so that she could be closer to Chandler Powell’s side of the family.

A source said that Bindi wants to relocate there because she believes that her life will be quieter there. However, it’s also unlikely for this to happen because Bindi has been living in Australia all her life and it’s unlikely for her to relocate now.

It’s also important to note that it’s her husband, Powell that relocated to Australia so that their family could be together.
