Prince William doesn’t usually show his emotions, but he couldn’t allegedly contain his sadness after learning that Queen Elizabeth was sick.

In its Nov. 8 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Prince William became inconsolable after learning that his grandmother was rushed to the hospital.

“He gets really emotional at the thought of losing his granny, especially given how much close attention she’s paid to him over the years as the heir to the throne. William might act tough in public, but behind closed doors, he’s quite sensitive. The thought of his granny being unwell has made him tear up on a number of occasions,” the source said.

Luckily for the Duke of Cambridge, his wife, Kate Middleton has always been his rock. And the Duchess of Cambridge supported Prince William during this challenging time.

The source said that Middleton is also sad following the queen’s hospitalization, but she made a pact to make her husband feel better.

“She’s told him that Granny doesn’t want him feeling sorry for her and sad for himself. He needs to step up and support her and keep the family running smoothly. Honestly, Wills doesn’t know what he’d do without Kate,” the source said.

Since Prince George and Princess Charlotte were still on break when the queen was hospitalized, Middleton allegedly encouraged her husband to go on a quick family trip to keep his mind off the queen’s health.

The source said that Middleton understands that things would become even more difficult for Prince William once the queen passes away. So, she just wants their entire family to be able to take a break while they still can.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

While it is true that Prince William and Middleton were most likely heartbroken following the queen’s hospital stint, there’s no proof that the future king cried and became a tad bit emotional.

And even though it’s true that Middleton has always been Prince William’s rock, it’s not true that she encouraged him to go on a quick trip.

If Prince William was so worried about his grandmother’s health, it wouldn’t make sense for him to go somewhere far.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just exaggerating the situation. But a spokesperson for the queen already said that she’s doing well following her recent hospitalization.
