Kate Middleton allegedly appalled Buckingham Palace courtiers and Queen Elizabeth with her most unladylike display at a charity event.

Royal correspondent Richard Kay recounted the time when Middleton organized a charity roller disco in London with an 80s theme. Kay claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge used the charity event to send a clear message to Prince William.

"William's decision and according to aides, it was his decision alone — inevitably means long periods of weeks and even months when he and Kate will be hundreds of miles apart,” he said.

Kay suggests that Middleton indirectly told Prince William “ignore me at your peril” after years of spending time apart.

In 2008, Daily Mail published an article about Middleton meeting the Queen for the first time. The publication claimed that the monarch thought that the Duchess of Cambridge was a show-off.

The Queen was also concerned over the fact that Middleton didn’t have a stable job while she was dating Prince William. According to royal experts, having a direction in life was very important to the 94-year-old monarch.

Over the years, Middleton’s relationship with the Queen has improved. Now, Her Majesty is relying more and more on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Even though the royal couple is also self-isolating at Anmer Hall with their kids, they continue to perform their duties remotely.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that the recent activities of the Cambridges will delight the Queen.

“We are indeed lucky to have so experienced a monarch as our head of state during this testing time. Let us, whilst we are obviously concerned for the health of the Queen and her consort owing to their age, look forward on her birthday to the celebrations of her Platinum Jubilee in 2022,” he said.

Meanwhile, the same publication also ran a survey regarding Prince William becoming a prince regent amid the coronavirus pandemic. The majority of the respondents said that they want the Duke of Cambridge to step up and help the Queen and Prince Charles.

As of late, Prince Charles and the Queen are also self-isolating in their respective homes.

However, approximately 23 percent of the respondents said that Prince William shouldn’t be given the role because it is disrespectful to Prince Charles. After all, the latter is the Queen’s successor and the direct heir to the throne.
