Last year, several gossip magazines insisted that Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie were an item. However, it seems that they were not dating contrary to the rumors. Meanwhile, the actress remembered her late mother fondly on this Mother’s Day.

There was a new report last year that claimed Jolie and Farrell secretly dated for a couple of months. The “Maleficent” star was seen with four of her kids when the Disney movie titled “Dumbo” starring Colin Farrell had its world premiere, which did not seem to be merely a coincidence according to an insider.

According to Radar Online, an insider told them that “The Gentlemen” star was in an on and off relationship with Kelly McNamara for two years. However, Jolie was allegedly adamant to “explore their connection further.”

The same report also states that the duo had a short romance while shooting for the 2004 epic film “Alexander.” The source added that the pair has “come such a long way since the wild old days when they last hooked up.”

The insider also noted that the 43-year-old Irish actor is “very private with his love life.” It was also being said that the “True Detective” TV series star is a changed man. He is a doting father and is more into charity and clean-living than anything else.

However, the source said Jolie “usually gets what she wants and there’s no denying they have a major chemistry.” Gossip Cop though has busted the claim that Jolie was dating the actor albeit for a short period.

Last year, another tabloid reported that Jolie was missing her “former flame” Colin Farrell. The outlet also wrote that the duo was “rumored to have a short fling” while shooting for their film together.

However, the report was a contradiction in itself because though it started by claiming that the pair had been lovers, the story took a U-turn and mentioned that it was just a rumor.

In other news, Angelina Jolie remembered her late mother warmly on Mother’s Day this year. She revealed that her daughters helped her to discover Marcheline Bertrand once again. The actress shared her experience of being brought up by Bertrand and how she changed after her death in her thirties.

Jolie mentioned that while her mother’s death was not sudden, “so much shifted inside.” The actress who shares her six children with her former husband Brad Pitt said: “Losing a mother’s love and warm, soft embrace is like having someone rip away a protective blanket.”

Angelina Jolie, 44 mentioned that before the death of her mother from breast cancer, crucial learning she inculcated in her was that even dreams can “simply change shape,” Entertainment Tonight reports.
