Sarah Ferguson has allegedly moved on from Prince Andrew decades after their divorce because of Colin Firth.

In its August 2 issue, New Idea claimed that Firth caught the Duchess of York’s eyes.

A source claimed that Ferguson and Firth recently met to discuss the former’s project. However, the tabloid didn’t explain why Firth became Ferguson’s choice.

The insider then alleged that on top of the work deal, Ferguson also has a crush on Firth. And it’s only a matter of time before the two make things official.

“She just about died with excitement. She’s always had a naughty crush on him. In Sarah’s mind, there’s only one person she’d want to work alongside on a royal period drama of epic proportions and that’s Colin Firth,” the source said.

According to the source, Firth visited Fergie at the Royal Lodge recently. And they also explored Europe in search of filming venues.

And during their hangout, Fergie couldn’t allegedly control her happiness. The mom of two was extra giddy, and Firth seemingly felt the same way about her.

“Colin has a great sense of humor and Fergie’s a right laugh to be around. So, this could be the start of a beautiful relationship. Beatrice and Eugenie are aware of their mom’s play for Colin, and they’re all for it. Fergie deserves every happiness. They know him through mutual friends and think he’s lovely,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There is no proof that Fergie is interested in dating Firth. And there’s also no proof that the two will be working together on a period drama.

It is also important to note that Fergie and Firth are not friends. So, it’s unclear where the tabloid’s dubious claims came from.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of York also made headlines recently after she opened up about not being invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding.

While speaking with Town & Country, the mom of two said that she didn’t feel worthy being at the Cambridges’ wedding. As such, she decided to go to Thailand to be as far away from it all as possible.

But in 2018, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. The Sussexes invited her to her nuptials. And Fergie said that she’s grateful to the couple for remembering her.
