The third episode of Rick and Morty season 5 is coming out this weekend on Adult Swim. The animated series has just recently returned with its brand new installment and the first two episodes build up more exciting stories for the titular characters moving forward.

The next episode of Rick and Morty season 5 comes with the title “A Rickconvenient Mort.” Based on what was shown in the promo, the story may feature a lot of environmental scenes. The clip, which was shared by @swimpedia on Twitter, showed the titular characters dealing with acid rain.

The animated series didn’t forget to reference another parody in the narrative, this time with Captain Planet. The first two episodes of season 5 had done it already. Episode 1 brought a parody of Marvel's Namor with Rick's nemesis, Mr. Nimbus, while Ex Machina, Blade Runner, and more in episode 2.

Apart from such, the second episode of Rick and Morty season 5 saw the return of Space Beth. Now she is back with the family, this could mean that chaos is coming for them. However, it’s unknown at the moment how the clone will last in the series.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Sarah Chalke, who voices Space Beth and regular Beth, said that more surprises are coming in the fifth installment. While she didn’t elaborate on what these things could be, some of the mysteries looming around the corner might be solved.

The arrival of Space Beth in episode 2 of Rick and Morty season 5 has been finally addressed. It was revealed that because of this clone, Rick was able to create a number of decoy families that went on adventures around the world. But then, his major mission is to keep these families safe from those coming after him.

Rick also explained that while the clones are the same, they are not aware that they are decoys. In the end, all the decoy families have been killed. The episode concluded with Rick and the family – including Space Beth – are talking about their trip through space, suggesting that they’re the real ones.

Rick and Morty season 5 episode 3 is set to air on Sunday, July 4 at 11 PM on Adult Swim. The first episode of the current installment is also available to watch on YouTube for free, while the first for seasons can be streamed on HBO Max.
