British reporter Camilla Tominey reportedly received death threats, particularly about her children, after commenting against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in her recent interview. The journalist appeared in a British morning talk show, where she talked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex battle in keeping their titles. The royal commentator thinks the couple’s fans were to be blamed.

In her appearance on This Morning, Tominey discussed whether or not Prince Harry and Markle should retain the titles given to them even though they already stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020.

The reporter also tackled the topic about their children receiving titles, particularly the couple’s firstborn, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Apart from retaining their titles, the commentator said that it wasn’t right for the Sussexes which royal benefit they wanted to keep after leaving the Firm.

Tominey further discussed if Prince Harry is allowed to keep his military title, saying: “It’s like saying I decide I want to go freelance but I still want to be able to use some of my Telegraph associations overseas.”

After stepping down from the Firm, the couple left the United Kingdom and moved to the United States to have a more private, quiet life. According to the journalist, it is likely that the two wanted to keep their titles so they could use them as “leverage for their fans in the U.S.” She goes on to say that this move is “problematic.”

Shortly after her interview, several online commentators accused her of being biased against the Sussexes. Now, Tominey revealed she’d been receiving death threats after appearing on the program. She said that her children, in particular, are being targeted by the messages sent to her. In fact, she posted a screenshot of the email she received with the title “Monster”.

“We must call out online hate when we see it, which is why I am posting this death threat, sent to my website this morning in the name of #HarryandMeghan ‘fandom’. Never be cowed by these abject hypocrites. Fight for the right to disagree agreeably #stoponlinehate,” Tominey captioned in the image she posted on her Twitter account.

Meanwhile, others have claimed that Tominey is “obsessed” with Markle. One Twitter user wrote: “@CamillaTominey you’re obsessed with #Meghan, you go around spreading LIES about her and her family, she lives in your vile jealous head 24/7.” Some also used “Camilla Tominey Is A Liar” to make it trend on Twitter.
