Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcome their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on June 4, 2021. Since then, avid fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been waiting for the couple to share photos of their newborn. However, a royal expert said that the two won’t be releasing pictures anytime soon –- just like what they did with their firstborn, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Recently, royal commentator Charles Rae talked about the arrival of Markle and Prince Harry’s first daughter, whom they nicknamed “Lili.”

Speaking with Kevin O'Sullivan on TalkRadio, the duo discussed how often the public would see the Sussexes’ second child. The latter said that people haven’t seen Archie appearing frequently in public, so it’s likely the couple will do the same with their newborn.

Rae agreed with O'Sullivan’s statement, adding that he would be surprised if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will release photos of Lili anytime soon.

The two go on to discuss what the royal couple did with Archie when he was born in May 2019. Markle and Prince Harry didn’t share a lot of pictures of their son, and the majority of snaps only showed the back of his head or forehead.

"I suppose the chances are that we won't get to see Lilibet much either," O'Sullivan said. Rae added, “I would be surprised if we see Lilibet in the next few weeks.”

But then, the royal expert commented that the couple might have a hard time remaining private, highlighting the name of Lilibet Diana. They named their daughter after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and grandmother the late Princess Diana.

Royal commentators and fans have divided opinions when Markle and Prince Harry announced the name of their daughter. Some believe that it is a “heartwarming gesture towards” Her Majesty –- who has been referred to as Lilibet by close family and friends -– and the Princess of Wales. Yet, others were skeptical as to why the couple named their second child after the matriarch of the royal family.

It can be recalled that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their roles as royal senior back in 2020. Their decision has sparked rumors about the alleged feud between the couple and the family, and it further fuelled when the two did a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. Because of this, some can’t help but question the real motives why Markle and Prince Harry named their daughter after Queen Elizabeth II.
