Queen Elizabeth Told Royals That She Will Abdicate Soon During A Summit Post-Prince Philip’s Funeral: Rumor
Queen Elizabeth is allegedly ready to abdicate, and she already told the royal family about it.
In its June 7 issue, Star claimed that the queen had been struggling throughout the past year since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Megxit. But the final nail on the coffin was Prince Philip’s death.
Following her husband’s death, the monarch reportedly struggled a lot. And she eventually came to the conclusion that she needs to abdicate from the throne to focus on herself.
A source claimed that after Prince Philip’s funeral, the queen called the royal family in for a summit. And this is where she told them that she will soon be abdicating from the throne.
While at the summit, the queen also told the royal family that she is eyeing Prince William and Kate Middleton as her replacement. She told Prince Charles that she thinks the Cambridges are a better fit for the role of king and queen because they are more relatable than him.
Unfortunately, Prince Charles allegedly went ballistic because he had been waiting for the day that he would be crowned for decades. Now, he is left with no other choice but to suck things up because the queen wants Prince William to succeed her.
“Apparently, Charles went ballistic and Camilla is fuming too. She’s taking it personally and feels that Kate’s been on a mission to push her out. She’s furious. Camilla has never lost her reputation as a husband-stealer after her affair with Charles. The queen doesn’t dislike Camilla, but Kate has always been her favorite,” the source said.
However, there’s allegedly no changing the queen’s mind. After all, she thinks that Prince William and Middleton are a better fit for the role due to a number of reasons. But she didn’t discuss them during the summit.
Meanwhile, the source said that the queen and Prince Charles also have their internal issues. For one, the monarch is still reeling over her son’s interview in the 1994 biography The Prince of Wales.
During the interview, the heir to the throne said that he’s had a traumatic upbringing because so much was expected of him.
Now, the source is claiming that the queen doesn’t think it’s right for her to pass on her crown to someone as ungrateful as Prince Charles.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. The queen isn’t abdicating. And Prince William won’t be her successor.
