Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are once again being pitted against each other. In its May 17 issue, New Idea claimed that Markle purposely announced the release of her new children’s book to compete with Middleton’s Hold Still project.

Around the same that Middleton announced that she’s been hiding copies of the book around the United Kingdom, Markle revealed that she also published a book inspired by the poem that he wrote for Prince Harry on Father’s Day.

Now, a source told the tabloid that there are some whispers inside the palace that Markle wants to compete with Middleton all over again.

The Duchess of Sussex has been accused of doing the same thing for years after she announced her pregnancy while Middleton and Prince William were on tour.

She and Prince Harry also announced that they are quitting The Firm on the day of Middleton’s birthday last year.

“There was some tea spat at Kensington Palace when Meghan came out with this book, that’s for sure. Not only is she writing about relationships with dads but it also looks a lot like she’s attempting to steal Kate’s thunder,” the source said.

On top of this, Markle’s children’s book is also accused of plagiarism because of the similarities it has with another book called The Boy on the Bench. The latter is also about a little kid and his dad.

However, the book’s author, Corrinne Averiss dismissed the claims by saying that her book is not the same as the Duchess of Sussex’s book.

This isn’t the first time that Markle has been accused of plagiarizing her work either. She was previously accused of copying some texts when she guest-edited a piece for British Vogue in 2016.

However, no one has proven whether or not Markle really plagiarized her work back then. And it is unclear if it was her intention to release her book to compete with Middleton’s project.

As such, one should be wary of what the tabloid says about Markle. After all, they have been pitting her against Middleton for years.

In recent weeks, the same tabloid claimed that Middleton tried to convince Prince Harry to return to London permanently and leave his family behind in the United States.

However, this is obviously not true because Prince Harry and Markle are in America with their son, Archie.
