Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared their pregnancy news to the world on Valentine's Day and some believe that they already know if their soon-to-be-born second baby is a boy or a girl.

Royal author Ingrid Seward said that knowing the sex of the child during pregnancy is the Los Angeles way, where Meghan is expected to give birth. Based on their announcement, the Duchess of Sussex appears to be on the fifth month of her pregnancy, which means that she can get a confirmation of the baby's sex via an ultrasound scan.

According to Hello, Meghan and Harry had known that they were having a son before the birth of Archie Harrison in May 2019. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had planned and settled on their son's name as well during the last week of her pregnancy with their eldest boy.

While Meghan and Harry won't likely reveal more details about the incoming baby, Daily Express reported that Sussex Baby No. 2 could be a girl. Apparently, in the history of the royal family, it is a lot more common to have a girl for a second child. It's the same way with Prince Charles and his younger sister Princess Anne, Prince George, and his younger sister Princess Charlotte, as well as Peter Phillips and his younger sister Zara Tindall.

If it's indeed a girl, royal fans are already eagerly anticipating that Meghan and Harry's second baby will be named after Princess Diana. However, the Sussex pair has chosen a non-traditional name for their son and could repeat the same choice for this pregnancy.

However, if the Sussex pair has another boy, royal fans don't think she will name the child Thomas, after her father, Thomas Markle. Meghan remains estranged from him since their falling out in 2018. Thomas has not even seen Archie in person and found out about Meghan's second pregnancy from social media. He found out about Archie in news on the radio.

In 2020, Meghan confirmed in an op-ed piece that she suffered from a devastating miscarriage in July 2020 but sources told People that they soon became overjoyed upon learning that she was pregnant again. The Sussex pair, however, had to practice care and caution and was nervous about seeing this second pregnancy through in the beginning.

Meghan and Harry's baby is expected to be born at the end of spring and will become the eighth in line to the throne. Harry and his line in the royal family succession haven't been removed despite his decision to step back from his royal roles. (Business Times)
