Meghan Markle Trying To Become The New Angelina Jolie, Choosing New Projects Carefully
Meghan Markle is, allegedly, trying to become the new Angelina Jolie of Hollywood.
In its Jan. 18 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Markle has been receiving different offers to act on television and the big screen.
However, she’s being picky because she knows that she only has one chance to prove to her fans, critics, and the royal family that she’s great at what she does.
A source told the tabloid that Markle and her team already received offers to star in a comedy, a drama, and an action film. However, Markle is still weighing all her options.
After all, she wants to send the royal family a cryptic message that she and Prince Harry don’t need them to become successful.
“If her first big movie flops, Meghan won’t get another. Her acting career is over if her first starring role doesn’t translate into big box office numbers,” the source said.
According to the insider, Markle always wanted to become famous. And she has made this a reality because she’s now one of the most famous people in the world.
But her ultimate goal is to become the next Jolie, who is a bad-ass movie star who saves the world through her charities and causes during her spare time.
Meanwhile, the tabloid also weighed in on Markle and Prince Harry’s Spotify podcast.
They said that podcasts are the next big thing in Hollywood these days that’s why other celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Michelle Obama also have their own.
However, having a podcast can also be challenging because it’s difficult to think of new and fresh topics weekly.
The source said that Spotify may have decided to pay the couple a multi-million-dollar contract in the hopes of hearing news about the royal family.
After all, the listeners want to know what goes on behind the palace walls, what Queen Elizabeth does in her spare time, and more.
However, it is unlikely for Prince Harry and Markle to talk about the royal family or their experiences as royals on their podcast.
After their partnership with Spotify was announced, the couple released a statement saying that their podcast will bring forward different perspectives and voices that the public may not have heard of before.
Just before the New Year, Prince Harry and Markle dropped the first episode of their podcast, and it revolved around the front liners battling COVID-19 in the United Kingdom.
