Camilla Parker Bowles, allegedly, wants to have a second wedding with Prince Charles.

In its Jan. 18 issue, Globe claimed that Camilla still can’t get over the fact that she and Prince Charles only had a small civil ceremony in 2005.

To make things worse, the Duchess of Cornwall is still reeling over the fact that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip didn’t attend her wedding to Prince Charles.

After years of proving herself to the royal family and the public, Camilla believes that she deserves to have a huge wedding with her husband.

A source claimed that she recently urged Prince Charles to organize a lavish wedding that will be attended by the queen, Prince Philip, and Camilla’s two children with ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.

“It’s always eaten away at Camilla that the original ceremony was so subdued and almost sheepish, with very limited public support being shown because of what happened to Diana,” the source said.

Since Prince Charles and Camilla had an affair while the former was still married to Princess Diana, the fall out of their marriage was blamed on Camilla.

The source said that a modern renewal ceremony is a break from tradition, but Camilla couldn’t care less. After all, she thinks that she and Prince Charles were able to prove their love and loyalty to each other over the years.

So, Camilla wants to reaffirm their commitment to each other because she thinks that this will also help her achieve her life-long desire to become the next queen.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Camilla and Prince Charles have no plans to renew their vows.

Now isn’t the best time to organize massive events because of the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, the United Kingdom is still on lockdown until the end of February.

The tabloid’s claim about Camilla thinking that renewing her vows will seal her fate as queen is also incorrect.

There is no way for the Duchess of Cornwall to become the next queen of Britain. When Prince Charles ascends the throne, Camilla will be styled as princess consort.

The title of queen consort won’t be given to her because this would’ve belonged to Princess Diana if she and Prince Charles didn’t divorce.

Renewing her vows with Prince Charles won’t also prepare her for her future role. After all, Camilla will still be known as princess consort regardless if she and Prince Charles renew their vows or not.
