Demi Lovato wants to address the Capitol event with her music. Yes, the 28-year-old singer and activist opened up about the heartbreaking incident that took place in the Capitol building during the Electoral College vote count.

The Sonny With A Chance star said that she is a broken heart since the news broke out. She admitted that she was naive to think that something like this wouldn't happen ever. Lovato slammed a couple of netizens who asked the singer about her upcoming album amid the country's ongoing chaos.

"For everyone in my comments saying 'where’s d7' or wanting me to sing instead of speaking up about what needs to change in this country, THIS IS WHY I POST AS MUCH AS I DO," she explained. The singer further said that this is the reason why she cares about social issues so much, and such incidents shouldn't happen anymore.

She acknowledged how the incident made her feel ashamed, embarrassed, and angry. Moreover, she revealed that she is currently in a studio and working on some music based on the assault that happened on the democracy.

The multi-talented star posted a picture of Black Lives Matter's post along with the message, which stated the black and white angle of the incident. The post reflected on how a bunch of White people stormed at the Capitol, and no police officers were taking action against them.

On the other hand, if Black people did the same thing, they would have beat the s--- out of them. However, some users backed the singer on making music based on the event and encouraged her to use her voice.

Although there were many other users, who were upset with Lovato's decision, one of the users referred to Lovato's Disney film, Camp Rock, released in 2008 and said that a song wouldn't save the day, another user asked Lovato to stop creating another song as it is not going to help anyone. In fact, the user noted that this is not the right way to spread awareness.

The user also noted how the singer is trying to use it to promote her new music and use it as an opportunity. Instead, netizens suggested the singer donate to the needful and think of other ways to help. The singer continued to post several images from other celebrities, who spoke against the violence and captioned it as a "horrible day."
