Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles will become queen consorts when their respective husbands ascend the throne.

Even though Middleton and Camilla aren’t in direct competition with each other, the tabloids have been claiming that they are.

Gossip Cop recently revisited some of the rumors suggesting that the two female royals are duking it out for The Crown.

Two years ago, In Touch Weekly claimed that Queen Elizabeth named Prince William and Middleton as the next king and queen of Britain.

The monarch’s decision shows that she favors the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge over Prince Charles and Camilla.

Since Prince Charles is the heir to the throne, the queen bypassing her eldest son in favor of Prince William was more than enough reason to start a feud within the royal family.

“The queen deemed it better than William and Kate take the throne. To put it frankly, she doubted whether Prince Charles possessed the right personality traits to take on the crown. It's important to the queen for her successor to be popular,” a source said.

But royal fans are aware that the queen doesn’t have any power to change the Order of Succession.

So, regardless of what she feels about Prince Charles and Prince William reigning Britain, her eldest son will be crowned as king after she dies or abdicates.

It is also important to note that Prince Charles cannot be crowned as king unless the queen has already passed on. The fact that the monarch is still very much alive proves that the tabloid is just creating drama where there is none.

Months later, New Idea alleged that Middleton and Camilla were fighting over the throne.

A source claimed that the Duchess of Cornwall is furious at the Cambridges for stealing the limelight from her and Prince Charles amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The insider also said that Camilla was trying her hardest to prove herself to the queen, but her attempts failed due to Prince William and Middleton.

However, the royal family has shown that they are united amid the ongoing pandemic.

In fact, Prince Charles, Camilla, Middleton, and Prince William have participated in joint engagements together with the queen.

This proves that there’s no tension between the royal couples.

Additionally, Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as Prince William and Middleton continue to perform their royal duties amid the pandemic.

They have become busier since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit The Firm.
