[95%] Growing Pains stars opened up about the controversial event by their co-star Kirk Cameron. Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller took social media to call out the maskless event held by Cameron on Christmas, where he was captured caroling.

A couple of days ago, before Christmas, the 50-year-old actor shared a bunch of videos on his social media in which he was singing The First Noel in front of a large crowd. The actor stepped out of his house to protest against governor Gavin Newsom’s order of staying home.

The event took place on Dec. 22 at The Oaks Mall, which was attended by almost a hundred people without a mask. According to KABC-TV, the event was attended by people of all ages, including senior citizens and children.

Cameron admitted that he attended the event while he also stated that all the attendees during the event were encouraged to put their masks on. The mall also issued an official statement regarding the same concern on Facebook.

“While I will always love my brother Kirk, I could not disagree more with his holding these maskless events at a time when safety and concern for others is an extreme priority," Miller said. The 44-year-old actor portrayed Cameron's brother, Ben Seaver, on the popular sitcom of the '90s.

In an interview with Page Six, the actor revealed that he is extremely disappointed by Cameron's event. It is worth noting that at the moment, local L.A. county hospitals don't have enough capacity for ICU beds as every ten minutes, one person dies because of COVID-19.

While Miller shared his concern, who also co-hosts The Xander Effect, another Growing Pains co-star also took Twitter to share her opinion. The 51-year-old actress who portrayed Cameron's sister on-screen, Carol Seaver, said she checked with the actor.

She further said that she wants Cameron to learn that she doesn't want to be his brilliant sister anymore. Moreover, she noted that she cares about his family and him while she urged him to put on a mask. She ended the tweet by adding that he should stay home and sing instead of holding an event like this.

Meanwhile, Candace Cameron Bure also tweeted that she isn't part of the event. However, she also received criticism on social media. The 44-year-old actress said that she is following the social distancing guidelines and always wears a mask.
