A lot of celebrities have already tested positive for the coronavirus. But so far, none have come out to say that they have tested positive for it twice. Rachel Fenton, a former contestant in Love Island, might be the first one to do so.

The Sun reports that the 27-year-old former reality star and now orthopedic clinical nurse specialist made the revelation on her Twitter account. In the tweet, she straightforwardly says that she has been reinfected with COVID-19.

Fenton had previously tested positive for the coronavirus back in March after losing her sense of smell. Aside from that, she also experienced coldness, muscle aches, and exhaustion. She also went on to lose her sense of taste.

As noted by the Mirror, Fenton went on to make a complete recovery from that first infection. Since recovering from the illness, she had also been regularly tested, constantly testing negative until this most recent one.

The nurse specialist also said that she had developed antibodies from her first encounter with the illness, leading her to speculate that she may have been infected with the United Kingdom’s mutated strain of the coronavirus.

Fortunately, Fenton says that her symptoms this time around were very mild, and unlike the symptoms, she experienced previously. She was also on annual leave when she tested positive for the virus again, so there is little possibility of her infecting hospital patients.

Fenton called on her followers to be “extremely careful” and said that her experience shows that reinfection can definitely happen. According to her, recovering from the coronavirus does not guarantee immunity from it.

While Fenton may possibly be the first celebrity to come out and say that they have been reinfected with the coronavirus, she is far from the only celebrity to have been infected with the virus.

Just recently, Aubrey Plaza revealed that the set of her latest movie, Happiest Season, had a slew of COVID-19 infections. One of those infected was actress, Kristen Stewart.

Filming for Happiest Season happened back in February, about a month before the global coronavirus pandemic forced lockdowns across the world. Plaza said that aside from Stewart, other people on the set got sick with what she assumes is COVID-19.

Other recent positive cases among the Hollywood set include actor Ben Platt. The 27-year-old revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus back in March. Platt says he had the disease for three weeks.

Actor Hugh Grant also revealed on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert that he tested positive for the coronavirus. Excessive sweating, as well as a loss of his sense of smell, were some of the symptoms he experienced.
