Matthew Koma and Hilary Duff seemed to be on cloud nine as they reached the milestone of their first wedding anniversary. A couple of days back, the 33-year-old actress shared a bunch of throwback pictures ahead of their first anniversary, and now, the 33-year-old singer penned a sweet message for his wife.

Duff addressed her husband on social media and thanked him jokingly for not revealing the sweet potato fries she had in bed. Koma couldn't hold back on a special day and wrote a lengthy message on Instagram.

The singer noted that one year ago, things were different in his life, and now, they have changed. He posted a black-and-white picture of their wedding ceremony along with the caption. He further recalled that during their wedding, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic or lockdowns were not a thing.

The Keep Our Love Alive star further said that he couldn't even think about spending these lockdowns and ongoing crises without Duff. He admitted that avoiding the world and Clorox groceries would be difficult without his wife. However, Koma further wrote that he had no clue that the world would literally change so much within a year after he asked Duff to be his wife.

"They always say 'the first year is the hardest', but in our case, it was for completely different reasons, and I’m so in awe of your badassery," Koma wrote. Koma further said that he finds his wife admirable. Duff and Koma are currently expecting their second baby together while it will mark the actress' third child.

Koma further praised Duff for being a tie-dye influencer, spirit, wife, individual, and mother while she also ensures that it seems smooth and easy to everyone else. He acknowledged the fact of being on the receiving end of all the love and support and said that he has no clue what right he has done to deserve so much love.

The singer thanked Duff for being loving, passionate, empathetic, supportive, and steady throughout the journey. Koma also thanked Duff for pretending to be interested in conversations related to deceased songwriters, which is apparently his obsession.

He also thanked the Cheaper By the Dozen star for ensuring that he drinks water on time and get his breakfast. The couple started to date each other in 2017. Although they had split for a couple of months in the same year, they patched up and been together for three years.
