Heather Morris reflected on the backlash received following the offensive post on Mark Salling. The Glee star faced major backlash by fans on Dec. 17 after she responded to a tweet by a fan covering Salling's face with a vomiting emoji.

Salling committed suicide at the age of 35 back in 2018 after he was pleaded guilty to a federal offense. His lawyer, Michael Proctor, revealed that he passed away while other sources disclosed that he suffered from alcohol addiction.

However, many viewers had no sympathy for the actor's death after he was pleaded guilty. Many users started to slam Morris after she pointed out an insulting picture of the late actor. She noted that he was part of the family in a series of tweets.

It all began when Kevin McHale retweeted a picture posted by a fan that celebrated the A Very Glee Christmas show's 10th anniversary. However, the homage wasn't appreciated by the 33-year-old actress.

She explained that she doesn't need to justify certain things because they are "better left unsaid." She further said that she understands everyone has varying opinions on the event that took place, and certain things are simply unforgivable. However, Morris said that this is a season of holidays, and it is incredibly hard for many people. She noted that the show didn't lose only two members but three.

"And it is SO incredible tough to have to act like that 3rd one is invisible because even though his actions are unjustifiable, he was a part of our family at one point, and he was mentally SICK," she noted. In fact, she said that pedophilia is a kind of sickness.

She further admitted that she didn't want to say everything, but it is the harsh truth. She sarcastically thanked everyone for treating her with unkindness and disrespect amid difficult times as she couldn't get through the day without thinking about the Glee family and the losses it has made.

McHale, who originally retweeted the picture, seemed to have ignored the emoji and didn't make any comment on it. However, he noted that this album goes hard though. Morris replied to the post and said that the vomit emoji is offensive.

The Glee family also lost another actor, Cory Monteith, in 2013. The actor was 31-year-old at that time when he took the drug overdose and died. Recently, Naya Rivera died in July after she went boating with her son, Josey.
