The Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo banned indoor dining amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in New York City. Katie Holmes’ reported beau Emilio Vitolo Jr. has slammed this move.

Vitolo Jr. said that such a move would lead to all restaurateurs losing their jobs soon. He shared his views by posting a clip in the Stories section of his Instagram page where his restaurant’s outside was shown.  

He also mentioned that people would only get food in Taco Bell or McDonald’s after such a directive. As per the Governor’s ban, all indoor dining services will be stopped for a minimum of a fortnight in the Big Apple.

Cuomo issued such an order after a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, as well as a surge in hospitalizations. However, his order is being looked upon as a big blow for the eateries and restaurants that have been already suffering from substantial financial losses amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Outdoor dining in the city was suspended from Wednesdays, and restaurants could only conduct their take-out services. Incidentally, Vitolo Jr.’s father, Emilio Vitolo Sr. owns a famous Italian restaurant called Emilio’s Ballato in the city. 

Vitolo Jr. works in the restaurant as a chef while his father sits near the door and decides in what sequence people will enter the restaurant and which table they would occupy, according to Daily Mail. 

The restaurant is extremely popular with a number of Hollywood A-listers, and celebrities including former President of America, Barack Obama. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bradley Cooper, and Tom Hanks are regular visitors here. 

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr. are often seen together on dates. The actress also dines at Vitolo Jr.’s father’s restaurant from time to time. However, the chef’s mother is, reportedly, not pleased with his son’s choice of girlfriend, according to Page Six. 

The chef took to his Instagram handle to pay a touching birthday tribute to Holmes, who turned 42 this Friday. The restaurateur posted a black and white image of his reported girlfriend sitting on his lap.

He referred to his girlfriend as an “amazing, kindest, beautiful person.” Vitolo Jr. also mentioned that there is a smile on his face whenever he sees the Batman & Robin actress. 

Emilio Vitolo Jr. wished Holmes a happy birthday and declared his love for her. Thus, they made their relationship on Instagram an official one.
