‘Mission Impossible’ star Tom Cruise has become one of the big talks of the town over the week after his apparent meltdown on the set of Mission Impossible 7 made its way to the public.

In the past few days, Cruise has topped the most searched name on the internet due to leaked audio of his Covid rant, which apparently was towards crew members of MI7 going against health protocols.

This has become a great source of conversation amongst Hollywood celebs. Many have shown their support towards Cruise, who has been vilified for his actions.

George Clooney, a fellow actor, shares his two cents regarding Cruise’s rant. Clooney believes that Tom Cruise's actions wherein no way an overreaction as many have branded it.

In an interview on ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ Clooney speaks his mind expressing his support for Cruise.

“Well, he didn’t overreact because it is a problem. I have a friend who is an [assistant director] on another TV show who just had almost the exact same thing happen with not quite as far-out a response,” Clooney shares.

He continued on saying that if he was in the same situation as Cruise, he would also react in that way, although he confesses that he would not pick people out then and there.

But he defended Cruise's action still, explaining on the show that people have to be more responsible, especially in crucial times such as the ongoing pandemic.

In the leaked audio of Cruise’s Covid rant, he threatened to fire staff and went on to scream that he was on the phone with every studio at night, insurance companies, and producers, which has put a great responsibility in trusting them to make movies.

He went on to make a point about the jobs that are being created through the Mission Impossible 7 production, which was followed by him exclaiming he did not want any more health protocols to be breached.

When the audio made its way online, Cruise apparently had another meltdown, which leads to five of the staff to quit.

There has been no word from Cruise’s camp regarding the incident, but it has put a great divide between Hollywood stars and that of the movie workforce. Cruise has been accused of ‘punching down’ subordinates by acting out.

The Mission Impossible 7 taping has been indefinitely halted, and there are allegations that Tom Cruise has taken an early Christmas leave after his meltdown.
