Ellen DeGeneres was recently spotted strolling outdoors with a young boy.

And even though it is common knowledge that the comedian doesn’t have a child, Woman’s Day still ran a dubious headline about DeGeneres.

In its Dec. 21 issue, the tabloid claimed that DeGeneres has a secret son.

After all, the tabloid is convinced that the young boy that DeGeneres went shopping with recently looks just like her.

However, the tabloid also retracted their statement by saying that they were told the young boy is the son of one of DeGeneres’s staff at Ellen Show.

And yet they still ran the headline: “Ellen’s Secret Son!”

Since the tabloid was unable to support their dubious claim about DeGeneres having a secret son, they said that her outing with the young boy proves that the funny woman must be keen on adopting.

It is unclear how hanging out with a young boy could automatically translate to adopting a child.

DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi have always been vocal about why they refused to have children.

Five years ago, the comedian spoke with Today, where she admitted that she loves kids.

However, DeGeneres also acknowledged the fact that becoming a parent is such a huge commitment.

“It seems long-term. It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with. And I just don't know if I can — it's too risky,” she said.

In 2014, the Ellen Show host told People that she thinks she and de Rossi will be good parents.

However, she and her wife don’t have the drive to or yearning to become moms. After all, the couple is aware that it requires hard work and a sense of responsibility to take care of kids.

To date, DeGeneres and de Rossi have treated their pets as their own children. And they’re happiest this way.

Meanwhile, the comedian also made headlines this week after she revealed that she experienced excruciating back pain after she tested positive for COVID-19.

In a video she uploaded online, she thanked her fans for their words of encouragement and prayers during this difficult time.

DeGeneres also said that she’s feeling 100 percent even though she tested positive for the deadly virus.

However, she suffered excruciating back pain following her diagnosis and didn’t know that it is one of the symptoms.

DeGeneres revealed that she has COVID-19 earlier this month. It was also revealed that the production for Ellen Show will be put on hold until early next year.
