Reports have it that Aussie actress Margot Robbie is replacing Emma Stone in the film Babylon, which also stars Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt in the lead role.

It seems that Stone opted out of the film due to some scheduling conflicts. Meanwhile, the entry of the Suicide Squad actress means that there will be a mini-reunion with her co-star of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Pitt.

Babylon happens to be a period drama set in the backdrop of the transition of silent movies to talkies in Hollywood. The 30-year-old Australian actress will now be replacing Stone in this much-anticipated movie, according to Deadline.

Margot Robbie was declared one of Hollywood's hardest-working actresses for acting in 19 films within the last five years. She has been a part of several prominent Hollywood blockbusters, including BombshellOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood, I, Tonya, and Mary Queen of Scots

Meanwhile, the film's plot is being hidden from the media and the masses at this point. Yet, what is obvious is that the movie is reportedly set in between the 1920s and thirties in Hollywood.

According to Daily Mail, the film will be produced by Marc Platt, Olivia Hamilton, Tobey Maguire, and Matt Plouffe. Marc Platt was also the producer of the 2016 film La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the lead roles.

Brad Pitt is all set to portray a fictional character in this period film. He will reportedly be a star who works in silent films but does not succeed in transitioning to talkies. Reports suggest that Pitt will be playing the role of a real-life actor, director, and screenwriter called John Gilbert.

Pitt is regarded as one of Hollywood’s most bankable actors. He is known for his excellent acting skills in several well-known Hollywood films, including Mr.& Mrs. Smith, Seven, By The Sea, Fury, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Fight Club, and more.

Babylon was initially scheduled to begin shooting in 2020. However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the delay of its shooting schedule, according to Pinkvilla. Reports suggest that the film is R-rated.

Brad Pitt’s Babylon is now slated to hit movie theaters in December 2021. It is being said that Margot Robbie would be playing the character of one of the earliest box office girls and sex symbol, Clara Bow, if the deal passes through.
