Netflix’s show ‘The Crown’ has been slammed several times for its portrayal of the royal family. In its newest season, the show’s narrative revolves around the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, but several palace insiders have revealed that there is no truth behind the show’s depiction of their life.

There have been calls for Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s son, Prince Harry, to sever his ties with Netflix.

Together with his wife Meghan Markle, the royal signed a multi-million-dollar deal with the streaming giant that will see to them producing content.

Despite being urged by royal watchers that they should ‘abandon’ their deal with Netflix, the two have stayed silent on the subject.

In ITV’s This Morning, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield discussed Prince Harry’s position in the matter. The two hosts agree that the royal is in an ‘extremely uncomfortable’ position.

They also talked about Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Oliver Dowden, calling for Netflix to clear up the air and put a warning sign of ‘Fiction’ before it begins.

Holly remarked during the show that Prince Harry and Meghan signed a contract with Netflix and asked co-host Phillip whether he thinks Harry is in an uncomfortable position.

“I think it is extremely uncomfortable because Harry’s made no secret that he, like William, like Hugo, and the inner circle of the royals, are very unhappy,” Phillip replied.

Phillip continued on to say that taking tens of millions of dollars from a company that is exploiting Harry’s own family is way beyond hypocrisy.

Meanwhile, another guest of This Morning weighed on the topic. Hugo Vickers shares that ‘The Crown’ will only get worse.

Vickers explains that as ‘The Crown’ gets closer and closer to the present day, new problems will present themselves, not only to the Royal family but to the creator of the show as well.

Although Peter Morgan, the creator of Netflix’s ‘The Crown,’ claimed that he would not be tackling any of the present-day royal narratives, that includes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there are rumors that there will be several seasons more.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been contacted by several news outlets regarding ‘The Crown’, and the accusations that it is exploiting the Royal Family’s image.

Apparently, the royal pair cannot comment on the show due to a conflict of interests, and they are bound to Netflix via a legal contract.

The Royal Family has remained mum about ‘The Crown,’ and the Palace refuses to comment.
