Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t commented on the controversy surrounding The Crown because they’re not allowed to.

During a recent discussion, talkRADIO host Mike Graham said that the couple is in a bit of trouble because they have not commented on The Crown.

Royal experts claimed that Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William are not thrilled with how some members of the royal family are depicted in Season 4.

Journalist Olivia Utley echoed Graham’s statement, but she also said that Prince Harry can’t really say anything about the series because of his deal with Netflix.

Utley added that she thinks this is just the start of the tensions caused by the series and Netflix to the royal family.

But even Prince Harry hasn’t reacted to The Crown Season 4, he previously told royal commentator Ingrid Seward that he hopes the series ends before it gets to him and his wife.

Unfortunately, the Duke of Sussex’s comments may have fallen on deaf ears. After all, Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie claimed that he’s heard talks that The Crown will feature adult versions of Prince Harry and Markle in the upcoming seasons.

On the Heirpod podcast, Scobie said that there are rumblings at Netflix about potentially extending the series until after Princess Diana’s death.

However, there is still no confirmation from Netflix and series creator Peter Morgan if Scobie’s claims are correct.

In July, Morgan said that The Crown will end after six seasons. Initially, the series was supposed to end after Season 5, but Morgan realized that there are still several storylines that he could explore.

According to Deadline, it is highly likely for Season 6 to focus on the early 2000s. Town & Country said that the fifth and sixth seasons will focus on 1990 to 1997 and 1997 to 2007, respectively.

This means that Morgan won’t explore the relationship between Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as Prince Harry and Markle.

While speaking with publication months ago, Morgan said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s story is still far from being over. As such, it’s very difficult to write a story centered on the former senior working royals.

Meanwhile, The Crown Season 4 received a slew of mixed reactions from royal fans and royal experts.

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles, Earl Spencer said that Netflix should include a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode to say that their series is a work of fiction.
