Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t celebrate Christmas with the royal family next month.

According to Woman UK, the couple’s celebrations in the United States will be a far cry from how the royal family celebrates the special occasion in Sandringham.

For instance, Prince Harry and Markle will most likely celebrate at their house in Santa Barbara with Doria Ragland and Archie in tow.

The royal family, on the other hand, usually gathers at Queen Elizabeth’s home for their three-day Christmas celebration.

Prince Philip and the queen’s four children and their respective spouses, kids, and relatives all join in the celebration.

The magazine said that since Ragland is the only relative that will join Prince Harry and Markle on Christmas Day, she’s the only one who will see Archie opening his presents.

A source told the magazine that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Christmas celebrations would be dull. And added that they’re sorry for the couple.

The magazine acknowledged that this is the kind of life that Prince Harry and Markle chose. But they’re also speculating that Prince Harry must be feeling a certain level of emptiness inside of him.

“Christmas is all about the family, and feuds are never rawer than when you’re carving a much smaller turkey,” the source said.

Earlier this month, Harper’s Bazaar confirmed that Prince Harry and Markle don’t have any plans to return to the United Kingdom for the holidays.

Even before the lockdown in the United Kingdom, there were already reports that the couple will be spending their first Christmas as a family in their new home.

Critics are convinced that this is the Sussexes’ way of snubbing the royal family amid their ongoing rift. However, this may not be the case.

Prince Harry and Markle were scheduled to fly to the UK in January. And this would’ve been the perfect time for them to reunite with the British clan.

However, the Suits alum’s court hearing with the Mail on Sunday was pushed back to October 2021. As such, Prince Harry and Markle won’t be returning to the UK anytime soon.

A source told Harper’s Bazaar that if not for COVID-19, Prince Harry and Markle would’ve already traveled to the UK a long time ago with their son.

The source’s statement proves that the couple isn’t trying to intentionally snub the royal family by refusing to celebrate the holidays with them.
