Queen Elizabeth has, reportedly, been keeping all options open for her beloved grandson, Prince Harry to return to the United Kingdom.

Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Megxit, the queen asked the Duke of Sussex to attend a meeting with her and Prince Charles.

After their lengthy conversation, the monarch released a statement saying that there will be a review at the end of the 12-month mark to see whether quitting The Firm was the right thing for Prince Harry and the royal family.

But even before they reached the review period, there were already reports saying that the queen relinquished Prince Harry’s role as the captain-general of the Royal Marines.

The news came shortly after Prince Harry voiced his thoughts about the US elections. Back in September, Markle’s husband discouraged Americans from voting for leaders that promote hate speech, bullying, and more.

His comments were seen as his way of throwing shade at Donald Trump. And the royal family immediately released a statement saying that Prince Harry is no longer a senior working royal.

As such, his opinions about politics and other controversial matters are entirely his own.

After taking the captain-general role away from Prince Harry, rumors swirled that the queen will give the important title to Prince William.

However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express that the queen hasn’t formally given the title to Prince William. And by the looks of it, she could be keeping her options open.

Fitzwilliams said that it’s possible for the queen to be plotting Prince Harry’s return to the United Kingdom and his royal duties. And when this happens, she will give him the captain-general title role again.

However, it is also possible for the queen to not do this. After all, some royal experts are convinced that she’s had enough of Prince Harry and Markle’s antics.

Earlier this year, Us Weekly claimed that the queen has already reached her breaking point with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

A source told the magazine that the monarch is exhausted both physically and emotionally. Since she’s already in her 90s, the queen would appreciate the love and support of the royal family now more than ever.

As of late, the queen has not publicly shared her feelings about Prince Harry and Markle’s recent appearances and interviews. But back in January, she gave the couple her blessing when they said that they wanted to quit their royal duties.
