The rumors surrounding Angelina Jolie does not seem to end. Last year, a tabloid reported that the Salt actress felt the entire Hollywood was against her. Was there any merit in this story? Read on to know more. 

Angie has often been painted in a bad light by a section of the media. So, it was hardly surprising when an outlet contended about a year ago that the actress felt that the entire Hollywood has ganged up against her.

The report also insisted that her divorce from Pitt has also managed to tarnish her image in Tinseltown. The tabloid tried to insinuate that Jolie had been trying to portray her ex-husband's negative image but her plan boomeranged. 

From there on, the story moved to how shocked Angie was when her second Maleficent film bombed at the box office. The magazine linked her flop film to her spoilt reputation. It claimed that the film did not have a good opening because fans hated the way she tried to malign the Troy Actor. 

It is strange to note that how a business of the Salt actress’s film was linked to her alleged conviction that many people in Hollywood could not stand her. An anonymous source even pointed out that Angie was contemplating whether she was still a commercially viable star in Hollywood after the failure of her film Maleficent-Mistress of Evil. 

While it is true that the exes are engaged in a fierce court battle to settle down their child custody issues, it would be wrong to say that Angelina Jolie would be jealous just because her film bombed at the box office while Pitt’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood did good business (via Gossip Cop).

The magazine perhaps forgot that Jolie is not only a glamorous actress but is a well-known humanitarian and a great advocate for women’s health issues apart from being a doting mom.

She hardly has time to indulge in a conspiracy for the demise of her former spouse. The report appeared to target Jolie as several other reports on various other occasions. 

Over the years, it has been immaterial for Jolie to fret about whether her fans and the Tinseltown liked her or not. She even told a publication that she does not expect everyone to understand or be fond of her. Her kids matter the most to her and they understand her well. (via The New York Times)
