Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Biden, who served as vice president under former President of the United States Barack Obama leads Trumps by an average of about 6 points, according to an average of a new national survey organized by Real Clear Politics. Nearly 48.3 percent of voters back Biden, while Trump has garnered just 42.4 percent support.

Much to Trump's chagrin, Biden is ahead of him in the battleground states of Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, and Wisconsin. Trump still seems to have an upper hand in North Carolina, but the recently conducted poll suggests Biden is leading the POTUS with 1 point as well.

Biden is leading the president by an average of 2.7 points in Wisconsin, while he is ahead by 3.2 percent in Florida. He enjoys a more comfortable lead in Pennsylvania, spearheading with an average of 6.7 percent. Even in Arizona, which voted for the Republican presidential candidate in all general elections since 2000 shows Biden is ahead of Trump by an average of 4.4 points. In Michigan, he leads Trump nearly by 5.5 points.

In 2016, Trump beat his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton simply by polling off a slew of victories in the battleground states, many of which had gone blue for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2018. Although Trump massively won the Electoral College, Clinton ended up got about 3 million more votes than her GOP opponent, News Week reported.

The president took the lead in the swing states by narrow margins of less than 1 percent in various contests. It remains to be seen whether or seen Biden manages to retain this momentum until November. Before the 2016 election, Clinton was at one point ahead of Trump in multiple national polls bu over 20 points.

As the coronavirus crisis tightens its grip on the economy, some analysts will be a result of how voters adjudge Trump's response to the crisis. There's a mixed reaction to the president's response to the deadly pandemic with an average of polls organized by Real Clear Politics indicating that over 50 percent of Americans are against the way Trump handled the crisis, while 47.3 percent approve.

Some recently compiled surveys suggest there are a few Americans that approve of Trump's response to the coronavirus. Another poll released by The Hill and HarrisX suggests 51 percent of people didn't find a flaw with Trump's way of handling the crisis, while 49 percent disapproved. CNBC conducted a poll earlier this month, suggesting that 50 percent of respondents backed the president, while 45 percent criticized Trump for his response to the coronavirus.
