Princess Anne just shared some useful tips for the younger generations of royals and some experts are convinced that her message is for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

On the “Royal Rota” podcast, ITV News royal editor Chris Ship and producer Lizzie Robinson discussed the possible hidden meaning behind what Princess Anne said.

Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter said that the new generation of royals is all about trying and doing things their way. However, Princess Anne said that it is still best to go back to the basics since there’s no need to reinvent the wheel.

“Now, we have absolutely no idea if she was referring to Harry and Meghan there and the fact that they wanted to kind of reinvent the wheel, found out that royal life didn't work for them in the UK and moved to Canada then America. But you can kind of match her words to the situation that we've all just experienced earlier on in the year with Harry and Meghan's departure,” Ship said.

Robinson talked about Princess Anne’s statement about service and how important it is. Princess Royal also said that she got her sense of service from both of her parents.

The producer said that there was no mention of the other members of the royal family except for the Queen and Prince Philip.

On the podcast, Ship and Robinson also talked about Princess Anne’s hilarious side. The mom of two referred to herself as a dinosaur.

Princess Anne doesn’t understand why the younger royal prefer to go on their phone and computer screens when there’s so much more to see outdoors.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne also made headlines this week after her position in the order of succession was discussed.

According to Express, Princess Anne will never become queen since she’s not next in line to the throne. Prince Charles, who is older than Princess Anne, will succeed the Queen when she passes away.

Princess Anne’s position in the line of succession to the throne is also much lower compared to her younger brothers, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. Princess Anne is currently in 14th place, while Prince Andrew is in 8th place and Prince Edward is in 11th place.

During their time, female royals were automatically placed behind their male siblings even if they are older than them. But in 2013, the order of succession changed.

As such, Princess Charlotte is ranked before Prince Louis since she’s older than him even though she’s a girl.
