He is regarded as one of the greatest boxing champions the world has seen. However, speculations are rife that Mike Tyson dozed off at a point while appearing on the show Good Morning Britain. Did Tyson relapse on the show?

A tabloid contended that the world’s former heavyweight boxing champion’s appearance on a recent show did not go as well as expected. His speech was incoherent and his responses were muddled when the host of Good Morning Britain asked him certain questions.

Tyson will soon be seen in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr., so his fans are quite worried given his history. After all, the former champ had confessed to consuming marijuana and cocaine in 2000.

The outlet has hinted that he might have succumbed to drug abuse once again. His strange appearance on the show has sparked quite a few question marks on his sobriety.

It is true that Tyson looked tired and not quite his normal self while he was on the show recently (via TMZ). The former champ was quick to defend himself and he took to Twitter and explained that he was exhausted while appearing on the show.

Tyson has been quite candid about his life these days. So, there is a likelihood of him confessing in case he has relapsed. Also, Tyson is known for his incoherent speech from time to time. If you listen to his podcasts, his speech seems to be slurred on occasions.

Mike Tyson came up with the latest edition of Hotboxin, his podcast, soon after the said interview. He sounded fine while in conversation with Boosie, Gossip Cop reports.

One should not forget that the time zones in the UK and the US, where Tyson is based, are different. When the show was aired in Britain, it was around 1 am in Los Angeles.

The former boxer has been training quite hard these days, so he could be tired while on the show if one gives him the benefit of the doubt.

Also, the very fact that he and Roy Jones Jr. are about to meet in an exhibition game just next month means that Tyson would be careful about his physical condition. These two boxing stalwarts were tied together once while in the active professional boxing circuit.

Both these great boxers are in their 50s now and it will be a treat to see them facing each other after so many years. The duo recently participated in a virtual press conference.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. both elaborated on how important their upcoming fight is and addressed how they have been preparing for the match at their age, CBS Sports reports.
